Become a Pier Ambassador

Pier Journal is now bigger than ever - more pages, more copies, more people involved but we need your help as we grow.

Our community journal relies on a core team of volunteers who distribute it across Dorset. We’ve got the Bournemouth area well covered, but since expanding countywide we’re on the lookout for more ambassadors to expand our reach.

Who we’re looking for

Do you love Pier Journal? Have solid knowledge of where you live? Want to help keep print alive? We are looking for ambassadors who want to play an active role in our - and your - community and help reach more people.

What’s involved

We need help distributing printed copies of the magazine across Dorset. We’ll deliver a few boxes to you when the journal is out for distribution. We deliver around 6-8 copies each to established local stockists (usually around 20 stockists per delivery area). On each drop, you’ll take a photo of the journal outside the shop/venue and share it with us for our social media. We expect it to take a few hours for each drop - the equivalent of 1-2 days a year.

  • Weymouth & Portland

What’s in it for you

By joining our core team of volunteers, you’ll play a significant role in helping to keep Pier Journal up and running. You’ll get an annual membership (worth £28+) which includes free entry to our launch parties and an invite to our annual staff party.

If you’re a local creative, event promoter or business owner who wants to reach more people, we can also offer you free promotion in our printed journal and online worth £275+.

And if you help us get more advertisers and members from your area on board, you’ll receive 10% commission.

We have a rolling deadline but will remove the areas from the above list when we’ve recruited an ambassador for them.
