Step into the sonic world of Pictish Trail, the shape-shifting alias of Scottish underground indie-folk hero Johnny Lynch for the first ever Pier Presents gig.
Performing live in an intimate setting in this multi-faceted venue in the heart of Bournemouth - hundreds of miles away from his home on the Isle of Eigg - this is a rare chance to experience an artist who balances melancholy with mischief, weaving lo-fi electronica, psych-folk and fizzing indie hooks into his own unique blend of music.
Lynch’s music - like his persona - carries a wild, windswept charm, grounded in sharp lyricism and surreal wit. His live set is part storytelling, part sonic pilgrimage - unpredictable, and unforgettable. With tales from his life on Eigg - running Lost Map record label and occasional and legendary Howlin Fling festival, between helping out with the odd bit of sheep herding and locking himself away in a wee bothy to make music.
Pictish Trail is a firm favourite on the Green Man Festival stage but rarely makes it this far south, so you really do not want to miss out on this one.
