For Vol.012 of Pier Journal, we’re delving into the theme of ‘movement’ - whether literally in terms of your body, the sea and landscape to metaphorically - grassroots movements and collective action. In the Year of the Fire Horse, we’re charging forward with intent and our first journal of the year will mark this journey - we want a bold, meaningful cover to accompany this movement.

As a Dorset-wide competition, we are looking for your personal response to the theme of MOVEMENT and want you to be as creative as possible.

The shortlisted entries will be showcased at an exhibition in the new year. The winning entry will receive a £300 cash prize, annual subscription to Pier Journal (which includes free entry to our launch parties) and see their work reaching thousands of readers across Dorset.
